Broughton’s mural CHARCOAL DRAWING WITH NO NAME is 13 metres long and was created with the charcoal that was left from her home after it was devastated by the Australian bushfires. It was drawn directly on the walls of the exhibition SOLASTALGIA. The word “solastalgia” is a neologism that comes from the words “solace” and “nostalgia”, meaning the feeling of loss and distress when one is confronted with environmental destruction. >> >> >>
