Pinsky’s POLLUTION PODS are five interconnected domes that are filled with air simulating the atmospheres of the Norwegian countryside and the urban centres of London, New Delhi, São Paulo and Beijing. The air contained in each dome consists of specific mixtures of polluted air, i.e. including particulate matter and carbon monoxide as well as different degrees of humidity and temperature. Sending visitors on a walk through these five atmospheres, Pinsky and his fellow colleagues of the Climart project try to explore art’s ability to change people’s minds concerning climate change. >>
