In her study KATASTROPHE TSCHERNOBYL (engl. The catastrophe of Chernobyl) Hesse-Honegger gathers images of mutations and damaged bodies of heteroptera and changes in the flora. One year after the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl the artist travelled to the radioactive fallout areas of Sweden and Tessin. There she documented the changes she witnessed in drawings and watercolours. >>
