In her two-channel video installation BLACK SEA FILES, Biemann examines what effects the construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline has on the lives of people living along its path. By interviewing farmers, construction workers, prostitutes and neighbours, Biemann uncovers how the living and working conditions as well as life choices of individual people are affected by the decisions of transnational energy companies. >>
