As a part of the Canary Project, Sayler and Morris took pictures of landscapes vulnerable to and influenced by climate change. One of these landscapes is Laguna Parón, Peru, where glaciers and permafrost melt. For A HISTORY OF THE FUTURE (2005-2016) pictures taken were accompanied by contextual research and exhibited in public space. >> >>

“The project consists of images but is not the images themselves. The project is the display and distribution of those images. The images live many lives. They have been art objects. They have been pedagogical tools in science museums and classrooms.
